A seasoned Ghanaian educationist and communicator living in Toronto, Joe Kingsley Eyiah was on September 22, 2018 honoured with Educational Excellence Award at the 1st Global Inspiration Award Gala/Fundraiser.
The event was hosted by Endless Possibilities and Hope Development at the glamorous and spacious Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Center.
Mr. Eyiah was recognized for his hard work in education as far back as in the 1980s when he rose to the rank of Assistant Director in the Ghana Education Service (GES) to present for working with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) for 18 years counting.
He has also being leading the Homework & Mentoring Club of the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario (GCAO) for 3 years now.
He was honoured by the Toronto Teachers of Toronto with Excellence in Teaching Equity in TDSB during the annual Teachers’ Awards ceremony in 2016. Mr. Eyiah who was among the 15 awards recipients for the 1st Global Inspiration Awards in Toronto is also an avid communicator.
He is a Contributing Editor of the Toronto based Ghanaian News and a regular columnist on the popular Ghanaweb.
Two other Ghanaians who received awards that night were Dr. Isaac Odame, Head of the Hematology Section & member of the Center for Global Child Health at the hospital for Sick Children in Toronto for Medical Excellence Award; and Mrs. Muriel Aikins of Leadership Recharge Consulting for Global Leadership Award.
The founder of the Global Inspiration Awards is Ms. Anna Owusu Prempeh Aidoo.
