PRESS RELEASE

The John Mahama Fan Club UK and Ireland wish to congratulate H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and all newly elected NDC MPs, for this well deserved victory. We commend the JM campaign team, our hard working foot soldiers, the numerous volunteers, polling agents and both NDC and non NDC members who contributed in one way or the other in achieving this great and memorable feat.

We would also like to take this opportunity to commend all stakeholders, including the Electoral commission, all the political parties and the good people of Ghana for their various roles in ensuring a peaceful election. Ghana has once again demonstrated our enviable record, as the beacon of democracy in Africa.

President John Mahama’s utterances, conduct and demeanor after his confirmation as the President elect by the chairman of the electoral commission on Sunday night among other reasons, is a clear testament to the confidence that the good people of Ghana have reposed in him by giving him the mandate to continue with the Better Ghana Agenda.

His Excellency continues to demonstrate that he is indeed a unifier and a peace loving democrat who is ready to build bridges in order to move the country forward. It is on this note that we call on all political parties, civil society organizations, the media and the entire citizenry to support the president in this historical, but challenging period in our national developmental process.

We the John Mahama Fan Club pledge our continuous support for our newly elected President in his effort at bringing jobs and rapid development to our dear nation. We hope and pray that the Good Lord will continually grant him divine wisdom and strength for a successful execution of policies to accelerate the Better Ghana Agenda.

May God bless our homeland Ghana and make her great and strong.
