Kwahus in Italy to aid Atibie Hospital

Natives of Okwahu, in the Eastern Region of Ghana, resident in Italy are to raise funds to aid Atibie Government Hospital in the region.

Kwabena Asante, a spokesperson of Okwahuman Union in Reggio Emilia and Modena, in the north of Italy, speaking on behalf of the two Unions said the Fund Raising event will take place on Saturday 22nd March at Polisportive Campogalliano in Modena in aid of a project to buy the Atibie Hospital equipments and also assist with its water shortage problems.

The event which will start at 5p.m will also see the swearing in of elected Executives Committee members of the two Unions.

Special guest of honour is Dr. Abena Agyepong, President of Okwahuman Union in Switzerland who will address participants expected to include Kwahus coming from cities in the north of Italy among them Brescia, Udine, Pordenone and Vicenza.

The program will end with a music and dance session and Ghana’s highlife ace artiste, Amakye Dede, will thrill with a performance that will go deep into the night.
