Kwakwaduam Association announces $10,000 Credit Facility

for Members at their Annual Dinner Dance




The Kwakwaduam Association Inc of New York has announced the establishment of a $10,000 Credit Loan Facility for members. Announcing this at Annual Dinner Dance of the Organization, the President, Dr. Kwame Aniapam Boafo said the idea of the program is to help members access short term loan facility to meet exigencies and emergencies such as rent payment, job application fees, skill acquisition fees and other emergent family obligations. This is all in effort to help members assimilate into the American Dream. The end of year Dinner Dance was held at the Polish Center in Yonkers on the 19th of January.



Lawyer Essien is tasked with establishing the legal framework within which he fund will operate. It is anticipated that the fund will attract interest rates far more favorable than the traditional borrowing sources of the Banks and Credit cards. Members of the Public were encouraged to invest in the fund to broaden its capitalization base



The new Executive of the Organization was inducted into Office by a ceremony administered by Lawyer Essien. The incoming President, Mr. Mark Saforo pledged to carry his Office to uphold the vision and mission of the Organization and to continue to elevate the organization to higher heights. Other members of the new Executive are; Joyce Koranteng- Vice President, Mindy Asiedu – Financial Secretary, Paul Ansah – Secretary, Emilia Okoampah – Organizing Secretary, Lydia Apronti – Asst Organizing Secretary. Others are Kwabena Asamoah – Asst. Secretary, Nicole Atram – Treasurer, Emmanuel Fenning and Kwabena Asante are the Whips



The Chairman of the function, Dr. Norman Green an Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein Medical School said he was impressed with the activities of Kwakwaduam and said Kwakwaduam stood apart in its organizational activities and pledged his support for its progress. Mr Ofori Anor The Executive Secretary of the Ghana Council in his remarks invited Kwakwaduam to join the Ghana Council and suggested a broader programming of activities to enhance the quality of life of Ghanaians in the New York Tri State Area

It was generally a beautiful, well organized Dinner Dance and a fun filled evening
