The Canada Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kwame Abrefah , who was on a private visit to Ghana,on Sunday May 17,2015 took time of his busy schedules to meet 215 Polling Station Executives from four electoral areas(East Legon,Okponglo,Christian Center and Mempehuasem) all in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
Mr Abrefah admonished Party executives present to be united,work hard and start their house-to-house to nurture support for the party before 2016 and not to wait until 2016.He advised members to eschew divisiveness and unnecessary internal wrangling that would affect the fortunes of the Party in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.He briefed members that NPP Canada will adopt some constituencies in a run up to the campaign with logistical,financial and human capital supports for the selected constituencies.
Mr Abrefah told members that Nana Addo's track record puts him in a position to win the 2016 elections to salvage Ghana from the socio-economic and politico quagmire that Ghanaians have been plunged into by the incompetent and corrupt Mahama-led NDC government.
On behalf of the Constituency,the Constituency Secretary,Frank Asiedu Bekoe appealed to the Canada Chairman to adopt the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in order to raise resources for the constituency.
Also present at the meeting were Mr Benjamin Botwe the Assistant Secretary,Evans Addo the Electoral Area Coordinator for Mempehuasem,Atta Gyamfi the Coordinator for East Legon and Issah Sawadogo the Coordinator for Okponglo Electoral Area.Some Elders in the area were also present,they are Joseph Kofi Mensah,Martin Kojo Asare,Adjah Sodjah Emmanuel and D.D.Afful.
