On the occasion of the Delegates’ congress held in Sunyani to elect the Flagbearer for the NDC Party, the Leadership and the Branches of NDC Europe wish to congratulate President Professor John Evans Atta Mills who emerged from the congress with an overwhelming victory. We believe the victory is an endorsement of the confidence Ghanaians have in your “Better Ghana Agenda”.
NDC Europe is a network of NDC branches in Europe which presently includes Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway and Italy. It aims to strengthen the structures of the NDC Party in Europe and Ghana, build our alliances with mainstream EU Socialist Parties with the aim of enhancing the Democracy and Governance system in Ghana.
We also congratulate the Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings for ensuring that an NDC Presidency will always be held accountable to the NDC Party and that no sitting NDC President becomes complacent in the performance of his duty to the Party and Nation. We also express our deep appreciation to the Founder Jerry John Rawlings for his oversight of the principles of the Party and we believe that his experienced advice and support will continue to be made available to the Party always.
We congratulate the National Executives and the entire Party organs for organizing a successful congress. We believe that the competitive nature of the Flagbearership campaign has strengthened the resolve of the Party for a successful second term for President Mills and the NDC in next year’s Presidential elections and to confine the NPP Party into the annals of Ghanaian history books to be studied by future generations.
NDC Europe on our part will continue to support the Presidency to deliver the “Better Ghana Agenda”. We will also continue to support the development of the NDC Party to deepen and strengthen the democratic dispensation in Ghana and to make the NDC Party the 1st Choice of Preference for all Ghanaians both home and abroad.
We wish the Flag bearer good health and success for the 2012 Campaign.
Long Live the NDC Party!
