NDC Germany communication office has issued a strong statement to vehemently condemn the alleged treasonable utterances made by the opposition new patriotic party (MP) Hon. Ken Agyapong.
The NPP “King Kong” is currently in the grips of the law enforcing agencies BNI and the police, assisting in further investigations. Consequently, his (Agyapong) comfortable and self air-conditioned sleeping place has to be changed for a couple of nights to show that, no one was above the law of the land.
Last Friday April 13, the NPP firebrand, Hon Ken Agyapong popularly known by his admirers as “Akompreko” made a statement which the police believed to be treasonable comments on his own Radio station (Oman FM) at Madina Zongo junction - a popular arena known as Hollywood in Accra.
The outspoken NPP guru was on the radio talk show to incite NPP Akan supporters to lynch and kill outright all Ewes and Gas in Ghana.” I have declared war from today!” the NPP warlord Ken commanded. The baffling question is, Ghanaians for time immemorial have been living peacefully as one nation devoid of tribalism. Inter-cultural marriages and festivities have brought Ghanaians together. Rawlings as an Ewe is married to Nana Konadu (Akan), Nana Akuffo Addo’s lovely wife is from Greater Accra Region, The NPP chairman is from Accra. Therefore, this act of tribal disintegration being introduced by NPP idol (Ken Agyapong) should be condemned by all and urged NPP political wings to disassociate themselves from this matter.
Random interview conducted by concerned citizens in various Ghanaian communities and African shops in Hamburg and beyond, most discerning and patriotic Ghanaians have registered their displeasure and high disappointment at which Hon Ken Agyapong has spoken thus causing fear and panic to our peaceful Mother Ghana; especially, regarding his (Ken Agyapong) position as a Honourable Member of Ghana Parliament.
The statement continued that, “as a law-maker, he is required to set an exemplary behaviour for others to emulate. Defending strategies by other NPP sympathizers accusing other rival respective party officials indulged in the same practice could not warrant the NPP law maker to incite Ghanaians to tribal war” Chris Mensah and Karim Abilla both members of the NDC Germany communication Team commended the swift responsibility taken by the law enforcing agencies in dealing with the situation and say “Ayekoo”for mutual co-operation of the general public. One Nation, one People with a common destiny.
