NDC USA Congratulates President Mahama

The NDC USA wishes to congratulate President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President elect Mr Kwesi Amissah Arthur on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Ghana. We note that the party is also on course to be confirmed as the winner of majority of the seats in parliament.

We are grateful to the good people of Ghana for endorsing the continuation of the "Better Ghana Agenda". At this time we remember the late President Mills who although departed from our midst is smiling down from the good Lord's side at the good fight the party continues.

We congratulate the humility and magnanimity of President Mahama and the patience party faithful have shown after the news of victory of a hard fought and closely won battle. All NDC activist deserve a pat on the shoulder for the hard work done.

We urge Nana Akuffo Addo and the leadership of the New Patriotic Party to concede and make Ghana proud. We commend them as worthy competitors for expressing alternative views and plans for Ghana's development. We understand that because of the close nature of this contest defeat will even be harder to swallow, but we urge NPP activists to join all Ghanaians to congratulate the President and to work for Ghana because it is the only nation we have.

Finally, we of the NDC USA urge all Ghanaians to unite behind President Mahama and continue to work hard to make Ghana a much better place for all in the next few years. We commend all Ghanaians for once more showcasing Ghana ’s democracy as a sustainable and peaceful one; and the people as a whole as law abiding peaceful and altruistic towards each other notwithstanding differences in political afflation or opinion. It will be said that Ghana continues to be one of the most stable countries in the West African sub-region and beacon of light for many African countries that continue to suffer the strife of instability as a result of differences in political orientation among others.

Ye ma Obiaa Ayekoo! Mother Ghana thanks you all for your worthy contributions.
