In a move to demonstrate its preparedness as the leader of NDC in the diaspora, to help the party recapture power and save the country from the nation-wrecking NPP government, NDC USA has launched its 2018 conference slated for July 21, 2018 in Atlanta Georgia.

The conference launch which took place this Saturday, June 16, 2018 brought together many members and supporters around the U.S.A and also offered an opportunity for chapter leaders who took turns to give speeches ranging from the need to work hard to return the party to power, to the essence of the upcoming conference.

Among such leaders was the Atlanta Vice Chairman, Mr. Yaw Sam-Kwachie who briefed the gathering on the essence of the 2018 Conference and its launch. According to him, the upcoming 2018 NDC USA Conference to be held in Atlanta under the theme “Uniting towards Victory 2020 and Beyond”, will usher in a reinvigorated NDC purposed to return the party to power.”

He said the Conference will “elect a new crop of dynamic executives” committed to the very foundational ideals of probity, integrity and accountability and bring together a once-divided body to push forward as well as increase the NDC’s fortunes in the 2020 election.

He admonished members to “let’s learn from our experience in the 2016 election” and unite solidly into a force that will bring the vibrancy and coordination that is required to unseat the ‘419 NPP’ government, so as to relieve the masses of the untold hardship and suffering they are currently enduring.

The secretary, Mr. Thomas Elleamo Yankey(a.k.a Nobody), also said, there are telltale signs that Ghanaians, after “tasting water and wine” have seen the difference and are feeling nostalgic for NDC government; that Ghanaians are sick and tired of the generic promise of ‘fight against corruption’( when the opposite is really the case), uncontrolled appetite for richness, deceit, lies, vilification, violence, subversion of our moral values and politicization of our institutions.

The Atlanta branch Chairman - Kwesi Asinor, on the other hand, appealed to the energetic and expanding universe of the NDC, especially aspirants, leaders and supporters to desist from conflictual and antagonistic political and other expressions that places anarchy at the center of the party, which has the tendency to sow and water division and eventually serve to erode the fortunes of the party.

He further assured that he would do everything possible in his capacity as the branch chairman to work closely with the new executives that will emerge from the impending Atlanta conference to ensure that the NDC comes back to power in 2020. Therefore, “we should all work diligently, fearlessly and very hard to ensure that this aim comes to fruition come 2020.
