The recent Dumsormuststop massive demo is a clear manifestation that Ghana continues to have enough patriots, who will guide its destiny to greater heights. And, we wish to express our congratulations to the organisers, accordingly.
The nation Ghana belongs to all of us and so does its progress, too. However, in the history of this nation, there have been a few times when citizen heroes or heroines have had to step up and nudge the people to action, in the face of official malaise.
Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie, Van Vicker and other celebrities have clearly shown that, Ghana, truly, has the capacity to work again. These are non-politicians who have had a calling to lead the people’s cry that enough is enough of the leadership malaise. Their effort is above politics and should be highly commended.
These citizens deserve great commendation for exercising their democratic rights, to express the cry of the people for higher expectations. The people are disgusted at the unprecedented mismanagement of a basic need like power, to run businesses and homes. The people are disgusted at the massive job losses, accidental deaths and inconvenience in the lives of many, as a result of the unprecedented dumsor crises.
We wish to say, therefore, that we believe that history will be kind to these gallant citizens, for helping to express the people’s frustrations in such a positive civil action. Kudos.
