NPP Canada Congratulates Nana Akufo-Addo, The Flag Bearer.

The NPP Canada today sent a special congratulatory message to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for coming out victorious in the just ended Presidential primaries.
“Your decisive and emphatic win in this maiden and historic expanded delegates congress is worthy of emulation by other political parties in Ghana and across Africa. This would be a booster for democracy in Ghana in particular and Africa in General.”
In a powerful statement, signed for and on behalf of the NPP Chapters in Canada, by Prince Ofosu Sefah, Secretary of the Toronto Chapter patted the shoulders of the entire NPP family for the wonderful job well done.
The statement also congratulated the four other contestants in the primaries – Mr. Allan Kwadwo Kyeremateng, Mr. Isaac Osei, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng and Rev. John Kwame Koduah – for offering Nana Akufo-Addo a credible competition and offering the NPP leadership options.
It congratulated the National Executive committee under the Chairmanship of Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey and the various National Committees within the NPP as well as the Local and grass root Leaderships for organizing and managing the successful primaries, especially considering the huge expansion in the party’s number of delegates from approximately 2,500 to 115,000.
The statement appreciated and extended special thanks to the Director of International Affairs for coordinating efficiently the overseas delegates’ votes.
According to the statement the Canada branch commiserated with the delegates who were involved in accidents in their service to the party. It said “Your pain, suffering and sacrifices shall never be in vain.”
The statement observed that the NPP has been strengthened and more united by this election.
