NPP Chairman in Germany donates vehicle to NPP campaign

Mr. Dwamena Yeboah, Chairman of the Germany branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has presented a Pick-Up Truck valued at 18,000 pounds to the Eastern Regional secretariat of the party.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in a telephone interview from Germany on Tuesday, Mr. Dwamena said the presentation was his contribution towards the 2012 elections campaign in the region.

He said considering the performance of the NPP in the Eastern Region since 1996, it was clear that come December the party would continue to rule the region in terms of parliamentary seats and popular votes for the presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

Mr. Dwamena said it was unfortunate that the NDC had failed to fulfill all the campaign promises made to the people of Ghana in 2008, saying retaining them in government would not augur well for the country.

He said it was only the NPP that could save Ghanaians from the current economic hardship and take them to the promise land.

Mr. Dwamena said the free Senior High School (SHS) education promised by Nana Akufo Addo was achievable and urged Ghanaians to vote for the party massively for him to implement it.

He said the NPP had done it before by implementing the National Health Insurance Scheme, capitation grant, school feeding and many more social interventions for Ghanaians and could equally implement free SHS education policy.

Mr. Dwamena said over 150 party supporters from Germany had volunteered to travel to Ghana to support in the campaign in their various constituencies and localities to ensure that the NPP wins the election.

The Eastern Regional secretary of the NPP, Mr. Prince Aboagye, confirmed to GNA that his outfit had received said donation and thanked Mr Dwamena for the gesture.
