NPP Norway congratulates Ghana`s next Vice President

The National Council of Elders of the NPP at its meeting at the University of Ghana, Legon on Thursday 29th March unanimously endorsed the nomination of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as our Party`s Vice Presidential candidate.
Unlike the 2008 exercise, it did not take long before the National Council arrived at a conclusion on the selection of Dr Bawumia.

It is reported that Walewale, the capital of West Mamprusi District in the Northern Region and the home town of Dr Bawumia, was on Thursday afternoon thrown into jubilation when reports reached residents that Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia had been retained as the running mate to NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo. There were also reports of jubilation in Tamale. In Accra, women sang in absolute exhilaration, indicating that the Nana-Bawumia ticket is the best for the party’s fortunes in the December polls.

His task, according to our party Chairman, is very simple, but challenging –first, to help Nana Addo and the NPP win power and then to help manage the economy prudently to make the country a manufacturing hub in the West Africa region, and create jobs for the people, especially, the teeming youth who are jobless.

Dr Bawumia is a young economist with an enviably demonstrable record. As Vice President, he would not only bring his talents to the job, but also inspire other young people towards professional excellence. His credentials of being hard working, committed, resourceful and economically inclined person indicates the possibility of a better economical turnover for our country.
Ghanaians now have the opportunity to choose between a Bawumia who brings Oxford economics to the management of the broken Ghanaian economy, and a John Mahama who brings Soviet social psychology to the management of the economy. A choice between a Mills-Mahama government that would prioritise fraudulent judgement debt payment - a carefully planned and calculated fraud on the state, and an NPP government that would be more meticulous to ensure that fraudulent judgment debt payment never occur.
NPP Norway congratulates the next Vice President, Dr Bawumia. It is our hope that he works hard in partnership with Nana Addo and the party machinery to wrestle power from the incompetent, inept and corrupt Mills-Mahama government. The NPP owns this to the suffering Ghanaian populace who see the NPP as the only party that can salvage Ghanaians from the abject poverty that they are being subjected to by the NDC government.
We in Norway join our compatriots in Walewale, Tamale and the rest of the country to welcome Dr Bawumia and to wish him well in the task ahead. With him, we believe the fortunes of Ghana are likely to change for the better. We also believe his nomination will ensure the proper growth of the economy and give hope to Ghanaians.
God bless the Nana-Bawumia ticket, God bless the NPP and God bless Ghana.
