Nana Akufo-Addo To Restore Ghana’s Development -FONAA-USA

FONAA-USA Press Release: Visionary ‘Abotrewura’ Nana Akufo-Addo To Restore Ghana’s Development

Ghanaians today face unprecedented precarious economic hardships under the corrupt and inept Mahama/NDC government. The competent and visionary New Patriotic Party government led by President Kuffour dramatically transformed Ghana from a Highly Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) into a middle income economy and also found oil. Despite inheriting a buoyant and stable economy from the NPP in 2008, the clueless Mahama/NDC government has collapsed Ghana’s economy through official corruption such as “woyomegate” and leadership paralysis.
Under Mahama and the NDC, Ghana’s cedi is experiencing an unheralded drop in value with dire consequences on the standard of living of majority Ghanaians. According to a Bloomberg report, the cedi lost 30 percent of its value against the dollar this year. This is “the biggest drop in the world today after Somali shilling among more than 150 currencies. Its year-to-date loss of 21 percent is the worst in Africa.” According to Dr Wampah, the Governor of Bank of Ghana, Ghana’s “total public sector debt stock as at the end of September 2013 was Ghc46.1 billion (53.5% of GDP), up from Ghc35.1 billion at the end of December 2012.” Moody's Investors Service has this year downgraded Ghana's sovereign rating by one notch to B2 from B1 portraying a negative outlook. The Mahama/NDC government has bedeviled Ghanaians with mass unemployment, astronomical increasing prices of goods and services, high inflation rates, zero health and educational services, perennial power outages and general poor living standards. Ghana’s modest oil-boom growth has been outpaced by the NDC and Mahama’s state demolition policies. Borrowing from the IMF in the midst of Ghana’s modest oil boom is indicative of Mahama’s leadership failure.
President Mahama and the NDC government has trust and moral deficits with suffering Ghanaians who are clamoring for an incorruptible, committed and visionary leader to reverse the current crises and develop Ghana. Nana Akufo-Addo, by popular opinion, offers that leadership with his incomparable vision to transform Ghana, penchant for peace, and admirable statesmanship. Nana Akufo-Addo has unequivocally stated that his goal is to provide transformational leadership and help build a prosperous society, which creates opportunities for all its citizens. Despite criticizing Nana’s visionary free SHS education policy as unattainable, President Mahama intends to introduce a progressively free (SHS) education. This vindicates the popular choice of Nana Akufo Addo as the one Ghanaians need to develop Ghana.
Nana stands for peace, rule of law, justice for ordinary Ghanaians, and prosperity for every Ghanaian. ‘Abotrewura’ Nana Akufo-Addo received global commendations for his remarkable statesmanship from various dignitaries including Said Djinnit, a representative of Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General when he accepted the controversial Supreme Court decision for the sake of Ghana’s peace. Nana Akufo-Addo, in recognition of his dynamic contribution to the rule of law, democratic principles, good governance, fundamental human rights and social, economic and political progress of all people, was subsequently appointed Chair of the Commonwealth Observer Mission for the South African elections-a position reserved for only leaders of states. We the Friends of Nana Akufo-Addo (FONAA-USA) and the suffering mass of Ghanaians are unequivocally confident that Nana Akufo- Addo is the transformational leader Ghanaians need for the social, economic and political development of Ghana. We call on all NPP delegates and suffering Ghanaians to elect him as NPP flag bearer and president of Ghana. LONG LIVE GHANA!!!!
Signed ……..
