The Cleveland National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Cleveland, where the Ghanaian worked, says they mourn the loss of "The Cleveland Optimist," who they say was a former member of their Executive Board.
"A passionate advocate for social justice and economic development, Kwame's work with Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and Citadel Impact Consulting left a lasting impact on our community. His commitment to uplifting Black and Brown families and elevating minority contractors will be remembered. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all who were touched by his life," their statement said.
