....Spending Ghc1800 Per Night In UK Most Expensive Hotel

The attention of the Communications Office of NPP UK Branch has been drawn to a malicious and false publication being circulated on social media and various Ghana news portals, that NPP National Executives and party officials led by Acting General Secretary and National Organiser Mr John Boadu visited the UK and spent GHC 1800 per night in UK’s most expensive hotel whilst here. The publication is not only false and disgraceful but goes to expose the shallow mind set of the National Democratic Congress not only in Ghana, but quite regrettably, also here in the UK. It appears that the NDC prioritise spending every minute and second of their time churning out lies and propaganda instead of solving the dire economic hardship facing Ghanaians caused by their chronic mismanagement.

For the record, and for the avoidance of doubt, the visiting NPP National Executives were here in London at the invitation of the UK Conservative Party’s International Office as part of a one week training and development programme. Their flights, hotel, food and local travel costs and expenses were wholly borne by the ruling UK Conservative Party office. Needless to say, the NPP National Party Executives did not spend a penny of, and did not use any party funds for this trip.

Their trip has proved to be a very useful training exercise and has really benefitted the National executives who will deploy what they have learnt to the grassroots towards the NPP’s forward march to win the General Election on November 7th 2016.The obvious strategic benefit of this trip has no doubt caused fear and panic within the NDC, whose leaders and executives are repeat offenders in using state funds for holidays and other frivolities, as captured in the 2016 Auditors General’s Report, where over US$28,000 was blown by President John Mahama and his family members holidaying in South Africa.

The President and the NDC ought to be more concerned with issues like the drug baron, Nayele Ametefe, aka, Ruby Gyamfi who is an example of NDC cronies enjoying unmerited state VVIP privileges and support in order to smuggle over £1 million pounds worth of cocaine into the UK for the benefit of the NDC. Also, sanctuary and comfort has been granted to Al Qaeda terrorists and ex detainees from Guatanamo Bay thereby potentially putting peaceful Ghanaians at risk of terrorist attacks. Bizarrely, this deal was brokered on the blind side of Parliament opposition party leaders and Ghanaians,. These are the sort of issues Ghanaians are interested in, but the NDC try to keep off the headlines, by concocting vile stories against the NPP.

NPP UK Branch Communications Office hereby call on all Party members, sympathisers and well-meaning Ghanaians, to disregard contrived NDC propaganda and falsehoods, and to stay focused, rally round and support our National Executives and the NPP National Campaign Team, to deliver victory for the NPP and our Presidential Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the upcoming general elections.

Sincerely,
Nana Yaw Sarpong
