Kumasi June 3, GNA - Four students, four lecturers and a Press Manager from the Publishing Studies Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) last Monday left for Germany to attend the DRUPA, the world largest printing show being held at D=FCsseldorf. The trip was in response to an invitation by the Heidelberg Printing Company in Germany.
This is the second time in two months that students and lecturers from the department are travelling to Germany at the invitation of Heidelberg Printing Company in Germany for the students and lecturers to attend the nine-day show which began on June 1. Briefing the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi, Mr Ralph Nyadu-Addo, Industrial and Professional Relational Officer for the College of Art and Social Science of KNUST who led the delegation, said they would have the opportunity to meet and interact with giants in the publishing industry.
Mr Nyadu-Addo said they would also attend seminars and symposia among others all geared towards enhancing their knowledge on the current trends in the industry.
He commended the German government and KNUST authorities for supporting such trips that are all geared towards enhancing education and human resource development.
