There Was Wild Jubilation in Chicago.

About fifty Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians crammed into the small Palace Gate Restaurant, 4548 N. Magnolia, to cheer the Black stars during the final group E World Cup match between Ghana and the United States in the historical city of Nuremburg ,Germany.

The Blacks Stars won the match 2-1 against the United States

The owners of the restaurant had a new 50 inch plasma TV, specially for the occasion. The crowd, mostly dressed in the national colors of Ghana or holding miniature Ghanaian flags were singing patriotic Ghanaian songs and merry making most of the time during the match.

After the last whistle was blown to signify the end of the match, the crowed spewed on to the car park in front of the restaurant and started drumming and dancing to celebrate to win over the boastful United States team.

Chicago Police Department had five Police squad cars on attendance at Wilson and Magnolia, but did not interfere in the wild jubilation by the Ghanaian supporters.
