Titus-Glover of NPP blasts NDC on Sources radio

Titus-Glover, a visiting panellist on a programme at the studio of Sources radio UK on Wednesday, 27th June 2012, sensationalised Ghanaians. He seized the opportunity to educate Ghanaians especially the listeners of Sources radio, on the ongoing unprecedented official corruption by President Mills’ NDC government. Many a Ghanaian with me inclusive was mesmerised by his in-depth knowledge and detailed explanation of, the ineptitude and corruption in daily exhibition by President Mills and his government.

President Mills has run the vehicle of Ghana economy into a ditch, with near-irreparable visible dents all over it, Titus-Glover informs Ghanaians. According as explained by him, the payment of GHC51 Million judgment debt to Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome in the absence of any signed contract with the government of Ghana was pure fraud initiated and executed by the NDC to benefit them. He rhetorically questions and wonders why people like the former Attorney General, Mrs Betty Mould-Iddrisu, the Deputy Attorney General Barton-Odro and the Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffour, the official conniving facilitators of that dubious judgment debt payment to Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome are still sauntering through the streets of Ghana free persons.

The Finance Minister and the Deputy Minister are still at post. The police have not even bothered to invite them for interrogation let alone arresting or compelling them to become principal State witnesses in the prosecution of Alfred Agbesi Woyome. This goes to tell the level of involvement and how far the NDC stood to benefit from the money fraudulently paid to Mr Alfred Woyome hence their fear to ruffle the feathers any further.

He analogically compared the office of the Attorney General to a footballer who doubles as an umpire at the same time. How can they prosecute Alfred Agbesi Woyome to secure retrieval of the money or conviction when Barton-Odro at the initial revelation of Woyome’s fraud threw his unflinching support behind him, hopping from one radio station or media house to another, defending and justifying the payment to him? He also chastised and questioned the credibility of the current Attorney General, Dr. Kumbour. He asked how can a pathological liar like Dr Kumbour, who fired a bullet through his car’s window, from inside the car, using his own licensed gun but later reported to the police as having been attacked and fired on by robbers be trusted to prosecute Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome. Police forensic investigation conducted into the alleged crime proved that he, Dr Kumbour, was himself the perpetrator of the crime but nobody else. He would himself be arrested and prosecuted if he was in the United Kingdom or any civilized Western world but in Ghana, he has rather been offered the post of Attorney General, Titus-Glover bemoans.

All the fictitious payments made to known and unknown persons and companies under the NDC’s “Judgment Debt Act 2010” Clause: Woyome/Pioneer Construction/Others could have been channelled into the creation of jobs, improvement of the NHIS, rehabilitation of our roads etc. to improve Ghana’s economy, Titus-Glover asserted.

He blasted President Mills for choosing to remain silent in the face of communal violence taking place in certain areas of the country – Ekumfi his own place of birth, Hoehoe, just to mention a few. He asked, who runs the affairs of the nation, inferring from how President Mills’ orders to Dr Kwabena Duffour not to pay the judgment debt to Woyome was flouted; when Koku Anyidoho usurped the President’s executive powers to sack the Ashanti Regional Executive Director of the Ghana Electricity Company etc.?

He finally served a warning notice on the Finance Minister who may in future risk the confiscation of his Unibank for probably accepting and somehow profiting in the form of a commission from that gargantuan fraudulent judgment debt payment cheque issued to Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome.

My information indicates that the cheque was not deposited into Alfred Agbesi Woyome’s bank accounts held with Unibank. The information is reliable. However, I will advise the Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffour, my own Kumawu compatriot to quickly resign his position, initiate processes to redeem his currently soiled name and reputation before it becomes had I known, which is always at last. Dr Duffour should not continue to relish in any false hopes and promises assured him by the NDC government in relation to his role played (actions and inactions) in payment of that scandalous judgment debt to especially, Alfred Agbesi Woyome. He could not have signed or willingly agreed to effect such payments forced on him by the Attorney General’s office but once they have been paid , as dubious as they now are, I call on him to resign in good fate. This is how it goes in any civilized society. The head of the department always takes blame and accepts responsibility for the consequences of the irresponsibility of his subordinates. A word to the wise is enough.

More grease to the elbows of Titus-Glover, another firebrand within the NPP. Please avail yourself of interacting with, and drinking from the overflowing fountain of wisdom of, Titus-Glover by attending the Ghanaian Young Patriots demonstration scheduled for Friday, 29th June 2012. He will attend so be there to have a memorabilia-photo shoot with this intelligent, dynamic and patriotic gentleman.
