The Wenchi Community in Lule?, Sweden is delighted about the election victory of Professor Gyan Baffour, MP elect for Wenchi. In this regard, we would like to congratulate you for redeeming the seat which to us is too precious and significant.
Professor Baffour, by your victory, you have made us proud and have sent the right message to the whole of Ghana that the people of Wenchi have able men and women with high dignity, who are patriotic, devoted and ready to serve its people with honesty, diligence and integrity.
We have noted with enormous approbation the splendid performance you exhibited which won the day for you and all the people of Wenchi. Despite all the intimidation and threats, you stood up to the task and fought hard to capture the seat for us. To this we say ?ayekoo? Prof. The implication for winning this seat is that you have kept the dreams of Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia, Prime Minister, Second Republic of Ghana of blessed memory alive and rekindled his dream of seeing Ghana develop but in freedom.
Your selfless sacrifice by opting to come down to contribute to national reconstruction and development speaks volume of your character and makeup, which is a clear manifestation of your love, resolve and concern for your people. By accepting to represent the people of Wenchi in the national assembly (Parliament), and championing their various but unresolved concerns is very symbolic in our history. We are convinced that your input to deliberations at parliament will constructive, fruitful and beneficial to the whole of Ghana The confidence the people have expressed in you by electing you should not in any be taken for granted. Let their voices be heard and their problems addressed. We have the belief that your nature as the true representative of the people will bring total transformation in the lives of the people. We are of the view that this feat was not achieved single-handedly. In this regard we extend our gratitude and appreciation to all those who made this victory possible, especially the NPP leadership in the Wenchi Constituency especially the chairman- Mr. Kwame Aidoo, Paul Kwame Baffoe, Alhaji Baba Musa and all members at ?Parliament? led by D.K.C and Atta and all those who played any role in this victory.
What is important at this point in time is that the kind of support the people of Wenchi extended to Professor Gyan Baffour should not end but as he begins the journey into the main stream of performing his functions, the same level of support, assistance and cooperation be offered so that together, the lost glory of Wenchi could be redeemed and restored. We are convinced that your input to deliberations at parliament will be constructive, fruitful and beneficial to the whole of Ghana
