The Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency in the Oti Region, Kofi Adams, has assured that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is committed to retaining the parliamentary seats it wrestled from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 7 general elections.

Speaking on the Ghana Yensom Morning Show on Accra 100.5 FM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, Mr. Adams highlighted the party's resolve to consolidate its gains and protect its parliamentary majority.

Otafrigya Kaayire Kwesi Apea-Apreku and Odehyeeba Kofi Essuman co-hosted the show.

"The NDC is leaving no stone unturned in safeguarding the seats we gained from the NPP," he stated, emphasizing that the party's focus is on delivering results that reflect the trust reposed in them by the electorate.

He noted that the NDC's commanding majority in Parliament underscores the need to work diligently in the interest of the people, adding, "The overwhelming mandate we have been given challenges us to prioritize the needs and aspirations of Ghanaians."

Mr. Adams also acknowledged the NDC's strong performance in the Greater Accra Region, which played a crucial role in their parliamentary victory.

He stressed the importance of maintaining this momentum and working extra hard to retain the electorate's trust.

"The people have spoken decisively, and it is now our responsibility to ensure we uphold their confidence in us," he added.
