'Africa Plays On? ? New Album Celebrates Africa?s Contribution To World Cup 2006

Good quality music eases pain. King Ayisoba possesses some great quality when it comes to playing live music.

From an obscure place in Bolgatanga, determination and hard work seems to be gaining him a place in Africa?s music arena.

He is a master in the play of an instrument popularly known in his native land as ?Kolgo?. That is the only instrument he normally uses to make his music.

?I want to see my father? is one of his best songs on his debut album. In this song, the indigenous African artiste tries to strip the activities of an irresponsible father who would empty his pocket on his girlfriend and abandon his own family.

He told myAnanse.com he believes his hard work will soon yield him some international credit. ?I believe in God and I believe my music will do Ghana proud?.

Like other musicians, his major obstacle has been with breaking that barrier of having to pay DJ?s millions of cedis before you got your song played on air.

King Ayisoba has indeed done lots of collaboration with many local artistes like; Batman, Sidney, Kontihene and the late Terry Bonchaka. ?I performed with Terry at Legon few hours before he was killed in that car crash. I will forever be grateful to him because he contributed greatly to what I am now?, he said.

One other challenge for the 30 year old father of one is the fact that he is a pioneer in his kind of music. Though he does not have a name for his style, many people love it. His songs would make you think, laugh and ease your stress.
