Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has expressed dissatisfaction with some of the happenings at the Golden Movie Awards that took place over the weekend at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra especially that of socialite Rosemond Brown.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Monday, the “Devilish Angel” actor expressed shock as to why Kumawood actress, Rosemond Brown, will be given such a respected platform to present an award.

According to Prince, the award ceremony showcases Ghana and Africa’s culture across the globe hence he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw poor English-speaking Rosemond Brown on the podium while “better” celebrities were around to do the honour.

“You bring people who are not articulate to present awards. Her English speaking is out of place. There are a lot of people who could have presented the award. She took an hour to breathe. Why is it that when people play the tomfoolery we celebrate? Stupidity is the hallmark. People are doing so well and they are not recognised but if you give the platform to fools…” he fumed.

Shortly after making the comments, however, Prince apologised, saying he was only being sentimental about the matter.

“I am sorry about what I said; I am just being sentimental…” he said.
