Television presenter with e.tv Ghana, Foster Amponsah Romanus has earned a nomination in this year’s Radio and Television Personality Awards.
The host of Late Nite Celebrity Show who is also a stand-up comedian and actor has been nominated in the TV Male Entertainment Show Host category alongside Abeiku Santana (UTV), Brown Berry (TV7), Kpepko Maxwell Justice (Joy Prime), Ibrahim Ben Bako (Joy Prime) and Adu Boahen (Maranatha TV).
Romanus was announced host of the award-winning show in April 2018 after Eddy Blay, who had successfully hosted the show for two years exited.
It was not a new turf for him as he had produced and hosted several TV shows. They included e.tv Celebrity Soccer and Friday Night with Foster which got a nomination for the Most Popular TV Show at the 2014 Television Ghana Awards.
Organised by Big Event Ghana, the Radio and Television Personality Awards seeks to honour excellence in the media industry. According to organisers, the scheme "recognizes outstanding media personalities whose work show exemplary leadership towards building a vision and a future for Ghana’s media platform.
"It is exclusively designed to bring together all personalities in the radio and television industry in Ghana, thereby creating the largest ever media platform for promoting any product or brand."
The 9th edition is expected to come off in October.
Meanwhile, the Late Nite Celebrity Show airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00pm.
