During his much-acclaimed Rhythms of Africa gospel music concert on November 29, 2024, at Independence Square in Accra, renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu had an unexpected interaction with a fan.
While performing, Badu engaged with fans dancing in front of the stage, even giving some of them a chance to sing some lyrics of his songs.
However, the mood shifted when an unidentified fan reached up and touched Sonnie Badu's forehead.
In response, Sonnie Badu was seen shaking his finger in a gesture to warn the fans to desist from such actions.
He then continued with his performance, maintaining the energy and spirit of the night.
Despite the brief interruption, Sonnie Badu's captivating performance continued to inspire and uplift the audience.
Themed ‘The Peace Edition’, the free event aimed to promote unity and harmony ahead of the elections.
The night featured powerful performances from various gospel artistes, including Broda Sammy, ACP Kofi Sarpong, and Cecey Twum.
Since its inception in 2023, Rhythms of Africa has become a significant event, known for its dynamic performances and focus on African spirituality and culture.
