¢45,000 For Petrol?

Energy officials in the country are still consulting following a decision to adjust oil prices as crude oil rage threatens the Ghanaian economy.

Unconfirmed reports say oil marketing companies are asking for a further 15% rise in fuel price hike as a result of the escalating price trend of crude on the world market.

A gallon of premium is feared to break through the ¢45,000 price tag in the next few days.

However, sources close to the National Petroleum Authority, told the paper that prices will not go up suddenly.

“We will inform consumers of any increase ahead of time,” sources said.
