At a time when scientists and herbalists struggle to find a cure for Coronavirus, Shatta wale’s Faith Concert came in handy.
Held at his Ship Mansion in East Legon-Accra, the Dancehall Giant’s streamed concert entertained, offered hope and dished out a great deal of knowledge to fans.
No! It wasn’t just a regular show marked by back-to-back performance.
Intermittently, the popular musician seized the opportunity to pep-talk fans not to panic even as the deadly coronavirus causes more anxiety than usual.
In all, Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armaah Mensah Jnr. performed about 15 powerful songs at the concert which had thousands of virtual audience monitoring from the comfort of their homes.
Performances were top-notch, the sound quality was better, the Set design looked great and Song selection, Just on-point.

FIVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS ABOUT THE “FAITH CONCERT”
IT WAS MOTIVATIONAL
Aside from exciting fans, Shatta Wale ‘dished’ out messages of hope, strength, love , assurance, encouragement and Optimism to his virtual audience.
As Ghanaians endure a two week coronavirus-motivated-lockdown, fans did not just need entertainment, critically they needed words of hope and assurance to uplift them mentally and emotionally; That’s exactly what the acclaimed musician served.
“I just want to tell everybody that anything that you u want to do in this life, just ask God because he is the only one who grants permission, just ask him and he’s going to do it for you “ Shatta Wale assured fans.
The SM Boss further encouraged Ghanaians to hold together and not despair in the wake of the deadly coronavirus.
2. SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS WERE RESPECTED.
In all, about 25 people including the bandsmen, Production team , Shatta Wale, Dad (Shatta Capo) and a few management members were present at the venue.
Appearing more impressive was the fact that each member of the crew wore a nose mask.
(Allah! Shatta is a law abiding citizen…Lol)
Keeping a safe distance and having a nose masks on meant that the safety of each team member at the venue was prioritized.
NB: When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.
3. THE FAITH CONCERT RAISED AWARENESS ABOUT CORONAVIRUS
The 1hour, 20 minutes long concert was both informative and fun.
Just as there was ample time for the performance, enough time was allotted to educate fans on the safety measures and prevention of coronavirus. (That was a very commendable move)
Dr. Nana Asiamah , a Public health physician led Shatta wale to demonstrate and school fans on how to effectively wash their hands with soap under running water to help check the spread of Covid 19.
On his part, Dr. Nana Asiamah Stressed the need to avoid hand shakes and practice social distancing , urging fans to stay home, Stay safe and enjoy life when Coronavirus is gone.
4 . PERFORMANCE WAS GREAT
It was a perfect opportunity to prove to critics that when it comes to live performances , he can’t be underrated, and Shatta Wale lived up to the billing.
Ably supported by the Shatta movement band, the show stopper was simply a delight to behold. No wonder fans now call him “Shatta Amakye “…Lol
In all he performed about 15 hit songs including Storm , Akweley Take, Ayoo , Time Nodey, My Level , Melissa , Borjor , Gringo, Be Afraid (Dancehall) and his 2003 hit Moko Hoo.
5. THERE WAS A SWEET “GBAA ALERT.
…And When all was said and done, Shatta Wale thanked fans for always being there for him.
Guess what he said ?
“ I just want to thank everybody who is around, you guys God bless you and to my fans watching me, I want to say God bless u , I said it and I made it happen.”
“I thank You very much for all your comments, whether NEGATIVE or BAD… hehe, he meant “ negative or positive”
But he quickly corrected himself.
“ Heerrhh! this negative or bad wey I talk dierrrr Bloggers go get me o (Laughs) Bloggers I beg” he laughed as he remarked.
The mistake actually reminds me of Sarkodie’s Pro bono line….Lol
