Music producer and musician Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, has expressed confidence in music group 5five never to breakup as other music groups have done over the years.
Appietus, who produced a hit track of 5five called Muje Baya, disclosed that although the group had been silent for a while, it would be returning to the music scene with another hit song soon.
In response to the whereabouts of the group on E on Class on Class91.3FM, Appietus said: “5five, those guys can never break up. I don’t know what will cause their breakup because they fight and the next minute they are cool and over that, so It will be difficult for them to break up.”
5five is a music duo involving Papi and Killi.
The award-winning music producer also lamented about not receiving anything from the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) when music legend Kojo Antwi was president and wondered who the beneficiaries of all the levies GHAMRO collect were.
“Believe me, within the Kojo Antwi era, I didn’t receive anything, then all of a sudden Rex Omar [is now president]… So what is going on? Where is the money going? All of the blank levies they are taking… That’s my question. What are they doing there?” he quizzed.
Appietus, as part of celebrating 20 years in the music industry, is set to release a compilation of 20 songs by the end of the year.
