‘A Country Called Ghana’, the latest movie by Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has won a nomination at the 2024 African Film Festival in New Zealand.
The movie, directed by Frank Fiifi Gharbin and executively produced by Kwadwo Nkansah, is a Ghana-Nigeria collaboration that brings together some of the finest actors and actresses from the two countries to educate the movie's viewers about the need to preserve their heritage.
It was the only Ghanaian movie that qualified for nominations among the fifteen other films submitted.
The movie project featured Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu, popularly known as 'Awilo Sharp Sharp', Paa George, and Sweet Mimi, among others.
‘A Country Called Ghana’ aims to secure a slot on Netflix and gain global recognition, and being nominated and screened at the Nollywood Film Festival is a significant achievement.
