Mother of Ghanaian content creator, Mighty Osei Sibe, has recounted a miraculous healing experience that changed her life entirely.
Sharing her touching story in an interview on Joy Prime's afternoon show, Changes, she began by recalling when she went to a local spot to celebrate her 17th birthday.
She said while dancing, an older man, who turned out to be a chief, expressed interest in her through the bartender.
Despite initial reluctance, she said she agreed to meet him and was taken to a nearby guesthouse.
Unbeknownst to her, she said someone had informed the chief's wife, who soon showed up at the guesthouse to confront her.
“So, she quickly rushed to the room I was in, confronted me and said 'You are celebrating with those breasts of yours. You will never celebrate any other birthday in your life,” she narrated.
Following this incident, she said her breasts became severely swollen for the next three years, causing immense physical and emotional distress.
She said her mother sought help from various places but none could provide relief.
“For the next three years, my breasts were heavily swollen. I couldn’t even wear any dress, I had to use a cloth to drape myself. My mother took me to a lot of places, from spiritualists to mallams to pastors to clinics. One of them even suggested that my breasts be cut off but she refused,” she continued.
The turning point came when she said she visited Calvary Methodist at the Kumasi Stadium.
Moved by a song being played, she insisted on staying despite her mother's initial reluctance.
“While I was sitting there, the pastor pointed me out and told me to come forward that I had been cursed. He prayed for me and told me to go home. Within five minutes after the deliverance, my breasts weren't swollen anymore,” she said.
Mighty Osei, who was also on the show, shared the inspiration behind his skits with his mother.
According to him, he aims to make his mother happy while she's alive, to avoid future regrets.
Despite being labelled a "mommy's boy," Mighty continues to create content with her, which began with a spontaneous car video that went viral.
His mother enjoys the attention and has always been fun-loving.
"She's my mother and this is the time I’ll have to make her feel happy because when she's dead and gone, that wouldn't be the time to stand by her corpse and begin to regret not creating memories and happy moments with her. At the end of the day, she's the one who took care of me,” he said.
Mighty hopes to inspire others to build strong relationships with their parents and challenge the notion that children can't have normal conversations with them.
