AB Crentsil performs @ Highlife Rendezvous

If you were to say “Bottom Power” on any platform, the obvious response you would have from the audience is “Sheege”.

The man responsible for this hugely successful song, AB Crentsil, would be the guest at this month’s Highlife Rendezvous Concert.

Scheduled to come off on August 29 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, highlife fans can be assured of a night of fantastic music.

Born in Potsin in the Central Region, AB Crentsil has defied the adage, “T he best comes from the West”.

With hit songs like ‘Juliana’, ‘Angelina’, ‘Papa Samo’, and ‘Moses’, AB has performed at both local and international venues.

His recent friendship with Hiplife “generalissimo” Obour gave new life to his career.

The success of this union saw the two release an album titled “Best of Lifes”, which they promoted by undertaking a world tour together.

Speaking to Citi Events, Crentsil said, “I have been following the Highlife Rendezvous series and believe my turn would come soon to treat my fans to a night of my blend of highlife.”

He adds that such effort at reviving live band music was a laudable one and that he was extremely honoured to be performing at the Highlife Rendezvous.

He assured his fans that his iconic Dondo would be present on the 29th of August at Highlife Rendezvous.

According to Nii Armah Dagadu, Events & Communications Manager of Citi FM, the rich experiences of A.B. Crentsil coupled with his uncountable hits make him a perfect artiste for the 29th August concert.

He explains that Highlife Rendezvous is an evening of live band music meant to promote and preserve the fine culture of highlife music as well as a platform to reawaken the art of live band performances.

Highlife Rendezvous comes off at the plush Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra on the last Friday of every month.

With highlife greats lined up, Highlife Rendezvous promises to be an event that turns an opportunity of a lifetime into one that can be experienced every month.

It is sponsored by Ghana’s original beer, CLUB BEER and organised by Citi 97.3 FM.
