Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has expressed his views on the tragic accident involving his colleague, Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin, which led to the unfortunate death of a 3-year-old boy.

Manu has dismissed the calls for a drug test on LilWin as baseless, stating that he has never observed LilWin engaging in the use of illicit drugs. He emphasized that such demands are unwarranted and should not capture public interest.

In a conversation with Nana Yaa Brefo on Onua FM, Manu addressed the rumors about LilWin's alleged marijuana use and the accident, labeling them as false.

“There are some artistes, parliamentarians who smoke, and nowadays the weed toffee has become very common for most people. I have never seen him smoke or use marijuana.

"LilWin’s claim that someone may die on Friday as a result of his movie premiere in Kumasi was not something serious. But unfortunately, it coincided with the accident,” he said during the interview.

The call for a drug test by Afia Schwarzenegger and others came after the accident on May 25, 2024, which occurred in Amakom, Kumasi. LilWin's vehicle was involved in a head-on collision, resulting in injuries to him and two others, all of whom were taken to the hospital.

Despite his injuries, LilWin made an appearance at the premiere of his movie "A Country Called Ghana" on the same day.

The incident is currently under police investigation to determine the cause and to reach a resolution. LilWin's management has committed to supporting the family of the young boy who passed away.
