Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor revealed that getting naked is not a sin – The movie thespian in January became born again – Patience Ozokwor also revealed that movie producers sleep with upcoming actresses
In January, veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor gave her life to Christ and ever since she gave her life to Christ, the actress has dumped her stage name and other unrighteous lifestyles.
Her new lifestyle has gotten everyone worried as to if she would quit the movie industry but in an interview with Encomium Magazine, Ozokwor disclosed that she is still very much interpreting movie roles as she is even increasing the number of movies that would be released from her stables.
When asked about if she would ever wear trousers and makeup on her face, the movie thespian said: “I don’t wear trousers again. No more weave on, no more make up. Naturally, I am not a makeup person. You see me in make up when I am in the movie. That has been my nature. Even if I make up, I like it light, except it was made by somebody else for an occasion.”
Describing her encounter with Christ, Patience Ozokwor disclosed that God has told her to put off certain things because they don’t please him including her not wearing trousers because it makes men desire women and then fall into sin.
When asked about her new status and the various roles she no longer accept, she said that all through her career, she has never played an obscene role and if the story does not have a proper message, she would not accept it.
She said: “I have never played an obscene role. If the movie does not have any message, if it doesn’t teach morals, I wouldn’t pick it up; it is of no use to me.
Let me tell you, going naked is not a sin, it is your choice. You pull off your dress and you start walking, we will class you where naked people belong. That is just it. God does not force people. He would plead with you, He would call you and we are the ones that are stiffening our necks.”
During the course of her interview, Patience Ozokwor further gave a candid opinion of what she feels about the movie industry saying, things are not working the way they ought to as producers are messing up and some go as far as sleeping with young girls before giving them roles.
