Popular Ghanaian actor Ekow Smith Asante is sporting a new look and he said he did it for veteran filmmaker, Kwaw Ansah. The actor normally has a low cut hairstyle.
But now he has a long hair style with a slight protruding belly, which many were made to believe was the sign of good living. Last Saturday, Ekow popped up at the Accra Mall when he joined the management of West Coast Entertainment to unveil the prize for the company’s first ever Miss Ghallywood pageantry.
He told NEWS-ONE that his latest look was “for a purpose”. “I have been on Kwaw Ansah’s set and I needed to leave my hair like this to make up for the setting of the film,” he added. “I am not growing this style because I wanted to look like this,” he stressed.
Ekow is one of the finest actors in Ghana. He is known for his lead roles in a number of local Ghanaian movies and was one of the earliest Ghanaian actors to make it into Nigeria’s Nollywood, Africa’s largest film industry.
