Adams Apples head to Canada

The 10 Chapter movie series, Adams Apples continues will be premiering in Canada this July after its London premiere last month. The July 22 premiere will see director Shirley Frimpong-Manso, John Dumelo, Joselyn Dumas and some other cast members storming the Living Arts Center (square 1 – Mississauga) in Toronto as patrons watch the Ghanaian film for the first time on the big screens in Canada.

The Toronto premiere starts with Red Carpet event where the stars are expected to dazzle for the shutterbugs. This will lead into the screening of the first two chapters of the movie with a 15-minute intermission between chapters.

Adams Apples is set in the hustle and bustle of Accra and its suburbs with glimpses of the exciting metropolis of London. The movie follows Mrs. Adams, the widowed wife of an ex-diplomat and her three daughters in their early and mid thirties. They work through domestic struggles, family life and personal battles to achieve success and happiness in a fast changing modern Ghana where love can elude the hopeless romantic; victory can scorn the hardworking; and marriage can be an illusion.

The first chapter was launched in Ghana with a grand premiere on April 21 at the National Theatre in Accra. Subsequent chapters will be released consecutively at monthly intervals. Tickets for the Canada premiere are available at $20 (2 chapters for price of one). For more info visit www.ghanalinx.com
