Controversial broadcast personality Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger is joining Kasapa 102.3 FM, the Accra-based station owned by EIB Networks.
Afia has resigned from Happy FM, where she hosted the station’s evening drive, and is headed to the new station, which operated as Choice FM before the EIB acquisition.
Kasapa will compete in the twi-speaking demographic, and has started recruiting some experienced hands at competing brands to help them secure a place on urban radio.
Some more notable names are joining, enewsgh.com can say.
EIB is bent on building a solid on-air portfolio that should put them in the top leagues of local media ownership.
The group, which has broadcaster Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray) as its CEO, operates Starr FM and LIVE FM in Accra, Ultimate FM in Kumasi, Empire FM (Takoradi), Agoo FM (Nkawkaw), and HI FM (Koforidua), as well as the Daily Heritage newspaper.
