After “I Do” What Next?

By: Stephen A.Quaye.

Did you take a bite into luscious chocolate bar on the Valentines Day? How did you feel after that bite? The sweet taste of chocolate.

Yes I took a bite of chocolate too on the Valentine’s Day and can still feel the ecstasy of the vitality.

Let me ask you the basic question any ordinary man on the street will ask and is what made you to take that bite of the chocolate some one offered to you as a gift to express love on that day?

Here you go. The sweet taste one enjoys after taking the bite into the chocolate makes one desire for the vitality of good health and the power of prosperity, CHOCOLATE. The same thing goes for love in an expected successful marriage. You take a bite into love which is the decoder of marriage with the expectation that you will find the ingredients that will make the relationship last longer. Taking a bite into sweet love that leads to marriage one has to exchange the vows “I do” in order to find the sweet taste of joy and happiness that abounds in that institution.

Once again one will like to ask how someone can discover the sweet taste after taking a bite of love and what is it.

According to Dr. Gary Chapman, the director of Marriage and Family Life consultant, the sweet taste after taking a bite of love which is the “I DO” comes in five forms which he outlines in his bestselling book, the Five Love Languages.

What are these five love languages that when one speaks keep the light of love in his marriage sparkling all the time? He mentioned as follows, WORDS OF AFFIRMATION, QUALITY TIME, RECEING GIFTS, ACTS OF SERVICE AND PHYSICAL TOUCH. Let us open our bible to the book of Genesis chapter 24 which whole chapter talks about the marriage between Isaac and Rebecca.

The last verse of the whole chapter talks about how Isaac spoke the love language of Rebecca saying,” Isaac took Rebecca into the tent where his mother had lived before she died and Rebecca became his wife. LOVE LANGUAGE OF PHYSICAL TOUCH.

The same verse also speaks about how Rebecca spoke the love language of Isaac as it says,” Isaac love Rebecca who comforted him over the loss of his mother Sarah”. LOVE LANGUAGE OF QUALITY TIME.

Have you been speaking the love language of your soul mate to express heartfelt commitment to him or her? Thumps up for those who have been doing that, they can tell the sparkling light of joy in their lives everyday. Do not worry if you have not discovered the love language of your partner yet to speak and bring the sparkling light of joy in your marriage as am going to show you how to do so in a minute.

Before I show you, let me present a nice scenario of how a married couple discovered their love languages which by speaking them to each other have been keeping the sparkling light of joy in their marriage for over 40 years.

The husband after their marriage ceremony introduced his wife to evening walks which was his hobby. One day whiles walking on a shoulder of a road, the man’s wife gave the husband a gift.

He thought the wife was expressing her satisfaction of taking her out every evening which she developed more interest in that hobby later.

Not knowing the husband was aiding his wife to discover his love language and speak it for him to love her more, as the wife was also aiding her husband to discover her love language to keep their love more tightly. After “I DO” married couples have to keep the sparkling light of love in their marriage burning which means discovering the five love languages of their partners and speak to them.

These five love languages can keep the light which is not just happiness but unending happiness in marriages growing.

We want our desires such as everlasting marriage to be constantly fulfilled and it is this continuous unending flow of five love languages that defines as sparkling light in our marriages.
