The award-winning actor and comedian Kofi Adu, aka Agya Koo and his team have zoomed into action aimed at meeting their 57% win campaign for the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.
During the weekend, the Kumawood star and his colleagues were spotted at the Techiman North Constituency vigorously campaigning to meet the 57% win target as promised the NPP leader.
Matilda Asare who is National Coordinator of Agya Koo Agenda 57% For Nana Addo and Agya Koo himself took turns to address supporters of the party at a constituency campaign launch to garner votes for the party.
The actor last week pledged his unflinching support to the NPP torch bearer indicating that Ghanaians are faced with unprecedented precarious economic hardships which have consequently led to job losses and high unemployment rate, poor healthcare provision and cut-throat utility bills.
He disclosed that aside his movies which is currently not doing well as a result of the poor economic conditions, he is a parent and know how expensive it is to give his children quality education in this country.
“Now the ordinary Ghanaian cannot afford basic items like Milk, Sugar, Rice, Bread and other household commodities. We have taken the trouble to do a thorough research of prices of goods and services on the market and compared them to the time of the NPP administration.
I challenge anyone who disagrees with me to do his or her own checks from the markets to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of this sad situation.
Apart from being a movie star as many Ghanaians know to be, I am also a parent and know how expensive it is to give your children quality education in this country”
