The sister of popular content creator Steven Sasu Gyan, widely known as Akwasi Kardashian, has shared heartbreaking details of her brother’s final moments.

She explained that Akwasi had been admitted to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment of kidney problems.

While undergoing treatment, he began to experience additional health issues, including a stomach ulcer. Despite the rigorous treatment, his health took a turn for the worse as he faced further complications from the painful ulcer.

She described a distressing Sunday morning when her mother, who had been tirelessly caring for Akwasi, called her in a panic.

According to her, the urgency in her mother’s voice was so intense that she rushed to the hospital.

Upon her arrival, the nurses informed her they had been waiting for her before proceeding further.

She said, “I believe you saw Sammykay’s interview with him on his hospital bed. Just last month, he was admitted to Korle-Bu due to the same kidney issue. He had been undergoing treatment but started experiencing additional health problems like a stomach ulcer. Early one Sunday, while I was at home with my family, my mother, who usually takes care of him, called me in distress. She asked me to come quickly because the situation was dire. I took an Uber to Korle-Bu, and upon arrival, the nurses informed me they were waiting for me before proceeding with anything. They then broke the news that my brother had passed away.”

She further recounted being led to the cold room where her brother's mortal remains were kept. It was there that she saw Akwasi’s lifeless body.

She added that she returned to her mother to understand what had happened. Her mother explained that she had briefly stepped out to get something.

Upon her return, she found Akwasi slipping away, his eyes changing and foam forming at his mouth.

In a desperate attempt to save him, she called out his name and ran for the nurse, but it was too late.

“I asked where he was, and they directed me to the cold room. When I saw him, his mouth was shut, confirming he was indeed gone. I inquired about what had happened, and they suggested I ask my mother. She explained that there were three patients in the room, and my brother often got up to sit on the bed due to back pain.

"She had stepped out to get something, and when she returned, she saw him gradually deteriorating, with changes in his eyes and foam at his mouth. She called out to him, ‘Akwasi Kwasi, what are you doing?’ and started shouting for the nurse. By the time she ran outside for help, he had already passed away,” she narrated.
