Dennis Nana Dwamena, known by his performing name KiDi, has said in the next five years of his music career, he aspires to be one of the most sought-after artistes across Africa and the World.
At the BF Suma Ghana Connect Concert, he disclosed to GHOne TV’s Eli Kharis, he is got more to achieve and is poised to put in much effort into his music craft.
The ‘Adiepena’ hit singer noted that in the next five years of his music, any album without him will be incomplete and also shows without him on the bill will not yield the positive result.
“In five years to come, my name will be mentioned across Africa and the World. In the next five years, if everybody is making an album and Kidi is not on, the album is incomplete or you’re having a show and Kidi is not on the bill, the show will be incomplete so I’m praying to God to help me be where I want to be.” He told Eli Kharis
Reacting to engaging in lyrical battles with colleague musicians, Kidi replied, “I don’t think I have that energy for that because I have to focus my energy in making people happy and dance and not to insult someone else. I inspire people with my music and that is what I will do and not battle lyrically with others.”
Kidi is signed to Lynx Entertainment and is best known for his hit single Odo. The remix features Nigerian superstars Mayorkun and Davido and has received massive airplay across Africa.
He has mounted several stages including 2017 Rapperholic Concert, Ghana Music Honours 2017 Edition, December to Remember 2017, S Concert 2017, the 61st Ghana Independence Celebration Show at Indigo 02 in London. He has performed on the same stage as many award-winning African artistes including Sarkodie, Samini, Shatta Wale, MzVee, WizKid, Tiwa Savage, Efya, and Patoranking.
