All set for Ghana Garden and Flower Fair 2017

Several nature lovers are sure to have an incredible experience at the 5th edition of the Ghana Garden and Flower fair as exhibitors prepare to wow patrons with various floral and gardening designs.

The fair which is an initiative of Strategic Communications Africa Limited; (Stratcomm) is targeted at boosting Ghana’s potential in flora and fauna and creating more ecotourism opportunities for the country.

Speaking to GhanaWeb, Senior Marketing Officer at Stratcomm Africa, Frank Gyimah noted that this years’ experience will be spectacular with a blend of variety, adding that preparations are already underway for the event which promises to be big.

“Exhibitors are coming in now, setting up their booths and the décor arrangement for every booth and they are being creative about it, every booth has a theme or a style and it is all part of ecotourism.”

“We are having exhibitors from all over the country showcasing their flowers, plants, garden ornaments etc. We also have other activities like the movie nights where we have an open-air cinema with giant screens and leather mattresses, we’ll also have a fashion show where we are transferring the whole place into a fashion arena, we will have a music night where we will have live band music in the garden, and we have various food vendors; over 40 food vendors also. ”

The First and Second Ladies of Ghana, he explained, are among dignitaries expected to grace the event.

“We are expecting dignitaries like the first lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency, the Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, the Royal Netherlands Ambassador, we are also expecting the Minister of environment, the wife of the Vice President, Samira Bawumia will also be coming for some of our activities as well”, he said.

Mr. Gyimah promised patrons of the 2017 edition of the fair, an exciting time and great opportunities to draw knowledge from exhibitors who have arranged unique packages for them.

“Our exhibitors have come up with unique styles of how you can decorate your garden, your home, your hotel”.

Their kids, he said, will also share in the fun experience.

“We are not leaving the kids out, the kids will have a playground where they can also be engaged and not left to do their own thing”.
