Following his rise to stardom, Ghanaian musician King Paluta has expressed his gratitude to the people who supported him during his rise to the spotlight, including his many ex-girlfriends.
In an interview on United Showbiz on UTV, the ‘Aseda’ hitmaker shared his struggles throughout his many years doing music before his meteoric rise to the top.
Asked about how he managed to support himself through those years, the artiste stated that he was always fortunate enough to encounter individuals who supported him unconditionally, including his former partners.
“I'm lucky; anytime in my life, I meet people who usually support me. All the time, I always met people who did not hesitate to support me. Even my ex-girlfriends — I have dated many girls — are all proud of me right now,” he told MzGee, the host of the show.
Speaking on how he managed to stay determined despite his slow rise to the top, King Paluta said his love for music was his constant companion.
“I don't rush; I let everything happen in its own time. When I first started music, I hardly got views on my videos uploaded on YouTube. I used to get about five to ten views in one year.
“But I was just living my life; I love what I do, and I love music, so finding myself around music — whether in the studio or listening to music — was okay for me,” he said.
King Paluta, also known as Thomas Adjei Wireko, is a Ghanaian rapper and singer who started his music career in the early 2000s. His songs often motivate the youth towards success, and his track 'Sika Aba Fie' has gained notable popularity.
In 2024, King Paluta's hit track 'ASEDA' earned him four nominations at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) and the title of Best New Artiste.
