Rastino, known in private life as Gideon Koomson, is a fast-growing Afrobeat/Afropop artist known for his innovative sound that blends traditional African rhythms with modern beats.
Hailing from Ve-Golokwati and Kpando in the Volta region of Ghana, Rastino has quickly risen to prominence in the Afrobeat scene with a string of successful singles and high-energy performances.
He started music professionally in 2015 before entering Have Technical Institute, where his talent caught the attention of all and sundry.
Rastino released his first single in high school, “Better Must Come,” followed by other singles, leading to his first extended playlist (EP), “The Celestine EP.” After high school, Rastino gained popularity from his single “WHY,” featuring Gidiboy, which became a trend on TikTok and Boomplay as well.
In 2021-2023, he released a few singles like "Money," "Deeper Love," "The Boy," "Fireboy," "Big Plans," and "Birthday Night Refix," which have also gained popularity and have fans jamming to them on TikTok and other social media platforms.

The official signing took place at the Come Home restaurant located in the Adentan Municipality in the Greater Accra Region. The investor, Napoleon Atsu, came with GH50 CENT, who officially bore witness to the signing of the artist. Rastino also came along with his family and friends, with his mother attesting to the signing of his new investor.
It was all joy after the final signatures were signed by the investor and his new signee, as some people present took group pictures to keep the day memorable.
Speaking to Rastino, he assured me of remaining humble in all circumstances and bringing out the best in him.
He says, “I’m coming from a humble background and will work hard not to disappoint the investor, my family, and fans.”
Rastino is currently an independent artist and has not signed under any record label.
