Actress and Television presenter Ama K. Abebrese has been nominated for an award in the International African Film Personality category at this year’s Screen Nation Film and Television Awards (UK).
Two other Ghanaians Jackie Appiah and John Dumelo, as well as Nigeria’s Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Joseph Benjamin and Wale Ojo also made the list.
The Industry backed Achievement Awards will recognize both audience favorites and emerging British, and international film and television talent. The ceremony will feature the cream of the urban black British film and television scene alongside established mainstream stars from the worlds of sport, music, fashion media and politics.
This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Sunday February 17, at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge.
In its eight year, the Awards will be hosted by well loved black British television personalities Wil Johnson and Sarah Jane Crawford. A delayed broadcast will air late February, and early March, 2013 across the Sky platform.
The consideration period for this year’s ceremony was from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.
