Amerado is not a good rapper, the reason he’s switched to singing – Obibini

Ghanaian rapper Obibini has rekindled his beef with his colleague Amerado, claiming it is good that he is now focusing on flourishing as a singer.

Obibini, who went on a diss song spree with Amerado some time ago, has sarcastically stated that he is glad his colleague has realized that rap is not his field.

"When I say my stuff and I go, I don't really focus on things like that, but I remember I was asked in an interview about being consistent as a rapper and rap music. And I said that I've realized that Amerado has found his field that he's really good at, and I'm glad for him, so he should keep on," Obibini told Amansan Krakye, monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

He added, "Then it's also good that he has realized that singing is his strength, so he must leave the rap to Obibini for me to do it, and then he'll concentrate on this side.

"So that's what basically I was saying about being a consistent rapper in that interview, and I was just giving Amerado props, unlike what others are reporting."

Amerado, who won the 2023 Best Rap Performance at the Ghana Music Awards, released 'Kwaku Ananse' last year and won Best Highlife Song in 2024.
