Appietus Bares It All Out:“Rana Was Bad Investment, I Never Made One Penny"

If you're not up to speed with the latest news surrounding Appietus's 'Rana' trio, well, here we go: News has it that Rana have split with Appietus and are now on their own record label Storm House Entertainment.

Ghana Music.com caught up Appietus who first spotted Rana who are made up of Kobi, Kojo and Kofi at the 1st Nescafe African Revelations (NAR) after losing out to Praye and Wutah" and gave us the exclusively unheard side of his story about Rana.

Ghana Music.com also learnt that Appietus has officially released Rana out of his Creative Records label even he had a three album contract and later realized it was a bad investment for him.

When asked if he had listened to their songs on air, he said, "he had had something on air and that they are also on air talking bad about me”. Another question that Ghana Music.com shot to Appietus was that did he cheat Rana?

“I did not even release their album so how could I've cheated them. The new album that they have, some of the songs are mine. I mean I recorded it for them.”, Appietus said. Ghana Music Awards sound engineer is dumbfound and perplexed about the whole situation since there is no rift between them.

“I never made one penny from them. I made two good quality music videos and an expensive promotion for TV, radio, print and other media areas almost amounting 50, 000 GHC (500 million old Ghana cedi) and I never made one cedi. Appietus continued by saying that its funny because they were playing shows and putting the monies in their pocket and I had no idea.

I realized that it was a bad investment so I stopped and I let them go free but here is the case they are spoiling my name. Meanwhile Rana have started promotion on their new album and expect Ghana Music.com music news to bring you the side of Rana exclusively.
