‘Art on The Horizon’ a pacesetter for more Ghanaian art exhibitions’ – Kofi Laing

Radio and TV presenter, Kofi Laing has cited the need for more art exhibitions in Ghana to promote creative talents that reflects passionate African spiritual, cultural belief systems and philosophies.

Relaying his thoughts at the ‘Art on Horizon’ exhibition which featured contemporary Ghanaian artists, the radio show host said he believes the initiative will pave way for more Ghanaian art exhibitions.

He said: "this is an opportunity to showcase arts from different backgrounds and ages. It’s a celebration of Ghanaian arts from different dimensions and formats. We hope this event serves as a stepping stone or pacesetter for more art exhibitions of this nature to be held’’.

The painting exhibition features the likes of Wiz Kudorwor, Orlando Baeta, Rojo Mettle-Nunoo, Awoyo Tamakloe, Sami Bentil, Amarkine Amarteifion Philip Kumah, and Naa Ashirifia Mettle-Nunoo.

Ghanaian arts will be showcasing from 7th December 2017 to 30th January 2018 at the Horizon offices in Accra.
