Former reigning gospel musician, Prophet Seth Frimpong has disclosed Kumasi Asante Kotoko never paid him for using his works in the various football campaigns.

According to the ‘Mehuriso’ hit maker, the Kumasi based football club largely used his popular track to ginger the team’s support base during their tough football matches.

Speaking to host of Abusua FM’s drive time show, Ike De-Unpredictable, Seth Frimpong said he never charged the team for his using his songs and he even performed free of charge for the team as part of efforts to whip supporters in action.

Prophet Seth Frimpong has been out of the music scene for a couple of years now. He has to his credit hit songs like Mehuri So, Okumchola and a host of other danceable songs of praise and worship.

The gospel musician tells Ike he has been bed-ridden by type one diabetes in the last two years and has been struggling to foot his medical bills.

“He says, I have in the last two years been spending a lot of money on my health with no help from anywhere.”

“Even Asante Kotoko that benefited significantly from my music career has not given a dime despite the fact that I performed freely for the team in my days”

“I was expecting that out of the goodwill we shared, at least the team will show me some love…but that has not been the case. No single official of the team has even bothered to ask of my whereabouts in the last two year,” he cried.
