Auditions for the first-ever Miss Golden Stool will take place on August 25 and 26 in Kumasi at the Kosados Hotel.

The Miss Golden Stool is a new pageant launched in July 2018 to celebrate the rich culture of the people of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It is also to empower indigenes from the region and remind them of their sense of identity.

The auditions will be admitting ladies between the ages of 18 to 30.

Contestants must not necessarily be based in the region but must be able to trace their roots to the Ashanti Region.

After the audition, 20 finalists will be chosen; out of which will be shortlisted to 12.

The 12 will be housed for the commencement of the reality show.

Contestants will be required to execute tasks every week till the end of the pageant.

These tasks will be aimed at projecting the Ashanti culture to the world. The winner of the pageant will be unveiled on the eve of Addae Kese.
