Award scheme instituted to promote Peace in TAFO

An award scheme has been launched in Tafo a sub city of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region with the objective of promoting Peace and religious acceptance among the youth.

The TAFO Legacy Award 2017 aims to encourage both the traditional and Islamic youth to live together as a family and help protect our environment and live healthy lifestyles.

This scheme follows a curfew that was imposed on Tafo after clashes between Muslim youth and traditional authorities.

The award was instituted by The Black Family Entertainment in collaboration with Zoro One Group of Companies and gain Peace bond Agreement from The TAFO traditional Youth Association (Nananom) and also the TAFO Islamic Youth Group.

The Award scheme is the first ever to be instituted by Nana Aggen Frimpong II (Tafohene) and Hon.Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei (MP- Tafo constituency) and is on the theme “Transformative and sustainable Peace; creating a healthy and wealthy nation”.

The awards ceremony is expected to take place in 24th December 2017, at the Tafo Community Center with the" Wedding car" hitmaker Dada Opanka and Kumasi's Best Rapper Cabum as the headline artist.

As part of the launch, The artwork was unveiled by the CEO of Black Family Entertainment , kwaku Aboagye. Explaining detailed , he said the awards seeks to recognize individuals, companies, organisation or institutions who might have contributed into the Peaceful atmosphere in the town.

In interview with Sincityboss Okyeame Akwadaa Nyame ,He added it's an evidence to demonstrate corporate social responsibility geared towards enhancing and investing in our Youth of today.
